- The production of grains in the Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria have been good and are getting better.
- Western Australia has had the biggest increase out of all with a massive 36% to 15.1 million tonnes.
- The next largest increase is South Australia with a big 33% to 8.7 million tonnes, still not as much as Western Australia.
- The least of all increases but still a good effort is Victoria with just 7%.
- Last season’s winter crop harvest was at 42 million tonnes even with the frosts and droughts going on. This season is said to be at least 12% higher than last.
- The grain and canola production this season will decrease in large amounts, NSW being 13%, and Queensland even higher 20%.
- The Western states are coming up to their massive harvest and the agricultural manager, Peter Collins said this year’s harvest will definitely be above average.
- Even though the Canola Crop was hit by huge frosts, it still manages to be the third largest on record at 3.4 million tonnes.
